CCS Zhejiang Branch General Manager Yang Zheng Visits CSI Group for Exchange and Cooperation

On February 20, Yang Zheng, General Manager of the Zhejiang Branch of China Classification Society (CCS), and his delegation visited CSI Group for an exchange and discussion. Wu Jie, Party Secretary and General Manager of CSI Group, along with other company leaders, accompanied the visit.

Wu Jie extended a warm welcome to Yang Zheng and his delegation, introducing CSI Group’s industrial development, overseas market expansion, and its increased investment in research and development of green energy power systems in recent years. He highlighted the company’s achievements in technological innovation for new product development and expressed sincere gratitude to CCS for its continuous support and assistance. Wu Jie also expressed hope that CCS would continue to provide greater support in technical regulations and certification services to help CSI group expand into new fields.

Yang Zheng praised and recognized CSI Group’s accomplishments in industrial expansion, global strategic planning, and product development. He elaborated on the key focuses and achievements of the Zhejiang Branch of CCS in 2024 and provided a detailed update on the establishment of the National Center for Technological Innovation in Safety and Reliability of Waterborne Transport Equipment. He emphasized that the center would focus on cutting-edge areas of ship technology, providing technical support and setting industry standards. He expressed his hope to further strengthen communication and cooperation between both parties to promote the green development of the shipbuilding industry.

Over the years, CSI Group has collaborated with CCS and other partners to align with China’s “dual carbon” goals. Leveraging national enterprise technology centers, national postdoctoral research stations, and other scientific research platforms, the group has been dedicated to the innovation, research, and industrialization of advanced marine power systems. The company has received numerous prestigious awards, including the National Science and Technology Progress Second Prize and First Prizes in Provincial and Municipal Science and Technology Progress Awards, and has been selected for Zhejiang Province’s “Pioneer” major technology projects.

Looking ahead, CSI Group will continue working closely with CCS to explore high-quality development paths for the shipbuilding industry and contribute to China’s transition from a major shipbuilding nation to a shipbuilding powerhouse.
